From the moment we drove towards the cottage I felt all the daily stresses of life fade away. Set on the edge of beautiful Pembrokshire coastline the views are breathtaking. The cottage is a home from home, comfortable and has everything you need to ensure you have a great stay. The cottage was of a high standard and has a lovely enclosed garden with breathtaking views across the sea. We spent the days exploring the lovely tucked away beaches and St Davids. I would highly recommend this beautiful cottage, even had a little box of dog towels and treats if you want to bring your dog. Lovely coastline walks on your doorstep. Would love to visit again to rewind and relax.

The cottage itself was absolutely amazing with everything you could want or need there it was home from home. We are a family of 5 with young children who never got bored! The views from every window were absolutely stunning! We walked along the coastal path from the cottage most days and found some beautiful clean beaches, one was just 10 minutes away. Just relaxing in the garden watching all the boats go by was amazing and the kids loved that! This is one of the best holidays we have had and would go back every year. I tell everyone about it and would recommend it to anyone!

Lovely cottage with a light & airy feel, very well decorated & everything we needed to enjoy our stay... and what a stunning location, right on the coastal path & just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful mill bay - its almost like having your own private beach! Dale is just down the road with a brilliant pub called the Griffin that had the best seafood menu.. got a pint & sat on the wall which I'm informed is quite a custom for visitors to the village. Highly recommend this cottage & so much to do in the area.

About the Area

If you would like more information on the local area, please call us on 01348 837871 to speak to one of our friendly team.

Dale

  • Set in a sheltered horseshoe-shaped bay, Dale is said to the sunniest spot in Wales! It is also a centre for watersports of all sorts - you can try your hand at sailing or surfing, kayaking or coasteering - West Wales Windsurfing and Sailing provide tuition for all abilities.

  • The Boat House Cafe in the village offers daily provisions and good home cooking with friendly service.

  • Dine alfresco at The Griffin Inn with its extensive fish menu - a popular, traditional old waterside pub by the beach where most people like to take their food and drinks outside to the harbour wall or roof terrace to make the most of the coastal atmosphere.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path

  • The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right by Coastal View - meaning there are some great walking opportunities from your front door. The coastal path around the Dale peninsular is around six and a half miles for a complete circuit and has some really spectacular views, particularly beautiful in the spring and summer when wild flowers grow in profusion.

Skomer Island Boat Trips - a must for any visitor to Pembrokeshire

  • Passing through the village of Marloes brings you to Martin's Haven - the little harbour at the end of the nearby Marloes peninsula from which boats go each day in the season to the magical bird islands of Skomer and Skokholm, just off the Pembrokeshire coast.

  • These islands are famous for their wonderful bird life (some of the richest for wildlife in Britain) - especially Skomer's enormous and comical colony of puffins - and the perfect place to visit for the day and escape the modern world. The Wick on Skomer is a perfect place to sit and watch puffins in early summer land and take off from their burrows in the ground.

The Dale Peninsula beaches

  • St Anne's Head is the most southerly point of the Dale Peninsula. The nearest beach to Coastal View is Mill Bay - accessible only from the coast path, just a 10 minute walk. A sheltered white sandy beach with rock pools towards the eastern end and a few caves to explore.

  • West Dale Beach, a little further towards Dale is West Facing - a sandy beach enclosed by towering cliffs accessible only by very steep steps. For surfers there are good waves in some conditions but strong currents, submerged outcrops and powerful waves make it suitable only for the experienced.

  • Beautiful Marloes Beach is a huge expanse of sand at low tide and is backed by spectacular cliffs. It is a bit a walk from the car park but well worthwhile for family fun - for rock pooling and fossil hunting.

Little Haven & Broad Haven

  • To the north of the Dale Peninsula is St Bride's Bay. Broad Haven (north) beach, at the back of the bay, is a Blue Flag beach, popular for both water sport enthusiasts and families. Haven Water Sports offer hire facilities for wet suits, surfboards, body-boards and kayaks.

  • Next door to Broad Haven is Little Haven, a quaint old fishing village full of charm and character that doesn't fail to impress with its picturesque setting and excellent choice of village pubs - The Castle, The Swan Inn and The St Brides all offer a good choice of freshly prepared food.

Carew Castle

  • Pembrokeshire is home to the majority of the castles on the Landsker Line - historically the line of division between the English and Welsh speaking parts of the county - although not all of the castles are either complete or open to the public.

  • Carew Castle is a lovely ruin. Also a venue for re-enactments during the summer months, it is on the banks of an inlet of the Carew River and it is pleasant to The Coastal Path is wild and wonderful in the autumn and winter gales, strewn with wild flowers and alive with bird song during the spring and summer.

Dale Peninsula Coastal Cottage, sleeping 6

  • With its enviable location, this lovely and comfortable end of terrace property could just be the perfect holiday cottage for couples and families alike. The views are set to impress that's for sure.

Year round holidays can be enjoyed in this charming retreat in a fabulous Pembrokeshire coastal location.
