The property suited us perfectly for a family get together. It was in a very good location and spacious enough for our family of 8 adults, 4 little ones and 2 dogs. It felt comfortable and homely and enabled us all to relax and have an excellent holiday, despite some mixed weather which we had expected at that time of year. Many thanks!

The house was very well equipped with kitchen utensils etc and was clean. The dining room furniture was of a good standard. There were some attractive pictures and curtains. The bedlinen was of good quality. The large garden was properly enclosed and there was plenty of garden furniture. The main problem was the lack of ventilation in some of the rooms, eg the sash window in the sitting room on the right could not be opened. This is not exactly the best in covid times. The house smelled rather musty, again due to the lack of ventilation. Luckily the central heating was efficient, (we didn't need it on for long) but there were no radiators in the bathrooms which might be a problem in the cooler months. Heated towel rails would be useful.Other sash windows could only be opened at the bottom which could be dangerous with young children.

When we arrived we could not enter the property, the inner front door needed kicking hard before it would open because of damp.We found our babys finger was bleeding and discovered she had picked up a piece of glass. On closer inspection there was a lot of glass on the floor in the kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The floor was also dirty and had obviously not been cleaned. The house has lovely big rooms but is in need of some tlc. The attic bedrooms were over 30 degrees in the warm weather, nott well insulated, with tiny windows which only open a little bit. The large sash windows in the rest of the house only open at the bottom and are a perfect height for a toddler to crawl out of. The sofas and chairs are very tired and saggy. The house is in a great location, in a lovely village and has a big safe back garden but as you can see we got off to a bad start, finding that your baby is about to eat a piece of glass is horrific.
