Cottage was cosy and in a lovely location. Great private garden. The Cottage would benefit from a new double bed/mattress, a new Tv (very temperamental despite changing batteries in remote) and some basic essentials (only 1/2 a toilet roll, 1 Tea Towel available for use)

The cottage is in a super location and generally well kitted out. However I would expect a cottage to be as clean as my own home but it was not very clean. I would have expected it to have been thoroughly cleaned particularly during Covid times. There was no hoover available, which was very surprising, especially when asked to look after the cottage. The plastic table cloth on the kitchen table was clean at the top, but not around the edges. I had to remove dried on food. The bin had not been moved when floor was mopped. Cobwebs everywhere and slugs on voiles in master bedroom. Despite the notice saying cottage had been deep cleaned (!) including the summer house, this was clearly not the case, with cobwebs so thick you could see through the windows. Dark brown stains on the sofa too. The handle to the fridge door had clearly not been cleaned, so I went around and did every handle in the cottage. Kitchen cupboard doors were not clean. I was also very disappointed that there was no dishwasher, so I made sure to clean all the cutlery and utensils before we used them. In terms of comfort, it needs to be mentioned for future visitors, that if they are over 6ft tall they will not fit into the master bed. My husband ended up having to sleep in one of the longer single beds all week. The mattresses were also lumpy and need replacing. Finally, we arrived and the toilet seat was broken, but this was fixed within 2 days.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot. It is slightly letting itself down by not being cleaned that well and a few things are damaged or tricky to use such as locks on doors and the oven.

The cottage was Full of cobwebs and dirty inside with dust in alot of places. When we arrived the heating was on full blast and it smelt really musty and had obviously not been used for a while. The bathroom sink taps and toilet seat were really loose and hardly any hot water. Heating comes on in the morning but if you need to alter it though the day you cant as was told by the instructions not to mess with the settings so on one day it was cold we were putting jumpers on. There were alot of blankets about but they smelt like they hadn't been washed in a while so couldn't use them also there is a rug in the front room which is really slippery so we moved out of the way while we were there
