Newly renovated in 2020, this spacious family home with glorious wood burner has all year round charm. Bryn Olwyn is a dog-friendly property with enclosed gardens, ideal for those looking for a large base to explore the delights of South West Wales.
Offering short breaks all year round and situated just a 7-mile drive away from the glorious Pembrokeshire coast. Sandy beaches lie within easy reach, with a 10-mile drive to both Newgale to the West and Newport to the North. Newport boasts many great restaurants and pubs for gastronomic treats. Furthermore, it is in easy reach to the beaches in the south of Pembrokeshire including Barrafundle, Freshwater, Manorbier, Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Located on the edge of the Preseli Hills there are fabulous walks with wonderful scenery and wildlife on the doorstep. Fishguard, with its range of fabulous pubs and award-winning coffee shops and restaurants, is just a short drive away.

The cleanliness let the cottage down massively and the false advertising about the enclosed garden.

Hello, and thank you for your review. We have spoken with the owners regarding the issues brought up here. The garden itself is enclosed, so the statement about this being 'false advertising' does feel a little harsh. The cottage owners have had many guests with dogs who have expressed how much they have enjoyed the garden in the guest book. We fully appreciate that some dogs may still find the means to clear the banking and the fence depending on their size, and we do make this known in the property literature. However, the owners are very sorry if these issues impacted your stay specifically. Regarding the four-foot-high banking all around the back garden, the owners have said that on the other side of the bank where the wire fence lies, and they have already investigated the integrity of this, and a small section had been partially broken but has now been repaired. So this should no longer be an issue for future or returning guests. They have also reviewed the entire property in great detail and have gone through all issues raised with their cleaners, and where issues were found, discussed, and rectified to ensure they do not occur again. This is the first and only instance of this kind since they began letting so they do apologise for any impact this had on your stay and commit that these are singular issues that will not re-occur.

A wonderful location - right on the edge of an extremely peaceful village with lovely views across the countryside and hills. Excellent accommodation, with so much attention to detail inside. Quality fixtures and fittings and fabulous use of the space - feel really spacious. The best cottage we have stayed in so far.
