We have a selection of peaceful holiday cottages in the heart of Pembrokeshire's Secret Waterway, Lawrenny. The village lies on the top end of the Cleddau Estuary and was voted the best village in Wales in 2007/2008; it's a peaceful, friendly village with a thriving community. The beautiful St. Caradoc's church, which dates back to the twelfth century, is lovingly maintained and supported by the community- you can visit the church and wander the grounds which are in a lovely setting with views overlooking the village and out towards the estuary. Lawrenny Quay is one of the most scenic stretches of the estuary, providing a tranquil setting for both boaters and walkers alike. It is a perfect base for boaters, with modern facilities, a boatyard, slipway, and plenty of pontoons and moorings. It is also ideal for those who'd rather be on land, as there are plenty of circular woodland and quayside walks, picnic areas and places to paddle in the estuary shores.
After a day's activities, you can enjoy a pint at the waterside pub, The Lawrenny Arms. It boasts a spacious beer garden with splendid views over the water and towards Carew Castle and serves freshly prepared food and fine ales. The multi award-winning Quayside Tearoom enjoys a unique setting on the point at Lawrenny Quay. It brings in visitors from far and wide, famous for it's speciality cakes, quality ground Welsh/Italian coffees, and freshly prepared baguettes and lunches using the finest Pembrokeshire ingredients. Stay in any of our peaceful holiday cottages near Lawrenny and around the Secret Waterway for an idyllic Pembrokeshire retreat.
