Have stayed there before - maintenance is slipping, kitchen cupboard door missing, fridge has a missing door shelf for milk / drinks, broken garden chair dumped in the garden. Shame that it seems 'the asset is being sweated'

Comfortable accommodation, good location. Smelt a bit “doggy” on arrival but we were aware pets were allowed.

A very comfortable home in the perfect spot to explore the area. Havens Rest was immaculately clean but dogs were made welcome and there was a conservatory and utility room for any wet feet. The gravelled garden was also ideal. For the people, the property was warm and spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the beds very comfortable. Little Haven was beautiful and ideal for kids and dogs, although at high tide there is only a small area of pebbles left (at low tide it opens up into a huge beach). It was an easy walk from the house even for a 4 year old, and you could go over the fields if you wanted to avoid the (very quiet) road. There were plenty of other beautiful beaches within a short drive - well worth exploring. We were a family group ranging from 4 - 70 years old and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The only thing that let it down were the uncomfortable sofas in the living room, they are too small and are hard to relax on. This is just a small issue but has a significant impact on the holiday as the whole point is to relax. Change the sofas to something more comfortable and larger and the cottage would without a doubt be perfect. The description of the sofas on the website said 2 x 3 seater sofas and there is no way these would seat 3 people!

Clean and well equipped. Rooms of a good size and easy walking to the village. People comment on the Hill back to the cottage but this was not an issue. Owners appear relaxed about pets, which was lovely. They merely ask you to respect their property.

Had a great week here. Lovely house with everything we need. Beds are sooo comfortable! 3 pubs in the village all do great food. Weather has been superb and the garden is a real suntrap. Hope to return.

Fantastic house, very well equipped and really comfortable. We had a great week and managed to do things we couldn't manage on previous visits. Highlight were a picnic on Setlands beach and a day on Skomer Island. Got the bus to Newgale and had a stunning walk back. Looking forward to next trip back to Little haven.

Thank you so much, we have had a wonderful week in this lovely, comfy cottage.

We recommend: the afternoon tea, ice-cream at Cornerhouse Cafe the gorgeous food at St Brides Inn the lovely food at The Swan Inn (dog friendly) the walk from Nolton Haven to Little Haven stopping off at the Druidston Hotel on the coastal path for coffee. We used the Puffin Shuttle to Nolton Haven - timetable in cottage.

What a lovely cottage! Very cosy and comfortable - felt like being at home.

We come to Pembs ebery year - usually stay south of the haven. Our first visit to Little Haven to stay- though we've visited lots.

Stayed with our family - had lunches at The Castle Inn- very friendly staff. Quick route to Pembroke via toll bridge - Hasguard Cross - Tiers Cross & onwards.

All in all a lovely family holiday (only 1 morning of rain).

About the Area
Little Haven
  • A popular holiday village that doesn't fail to impress with its picturesque setting and excellent choice of village pubs - The Castle, The Swan Inn and The St Brides all offer a good choice of freshly prepared food.
  • Spend your days on the beach and at low tide, walk the long golden sands to the neighbouring village of Broad Haven.
Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
  • Stroll down the hill to the village and from the beach you have access to the Coastal Path in both the directions. Head West to St.Brides Bay or North to the golden sands of Broad Haven.
  • The Coastal Path is wild and wonderful in the autumn and winter gales, strewn with wild flowers and alive with bird song during the spring and summer.
Broad Haven
  • Broad Haven village has everything you need for your holiday: a large, sandy Blue Flag Beach, a well-stocked convenience shop, 3 pubs, a restaurant, fish & chip take away as well as a surf shop selling and hiring out water sports gear.
Nolton Haven & East Nolton Riding Stables
  • A tiny village with a sandy beach, a 200 year old stone chapel clinging, nail bitingly close to the edge of the cliff, a village pub serving bar food and east Nolton Riding Stables who will take you on a thrilling gallop across the beach or trekking in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.
  • The crescent shaped bay of Dale is at the entrance to the Haven Waterway which runs deep into the heart of South Pembrokeshire. While away a few fascinating hours watching the boats on the water.
  • Dale is a centre for water sports of all sorts - you can try your hand at sailing or surfing, kayaking or coasteering - West Wales Windsurfing and Sailing provide tuition for all abilities.
  • At the Griffin Inn in Dale you can eat alfresco overlooking the bay and enjoy the fresh fish caught that morning by the pub's fishing boat.
Martins Haven and Skomer Island
  • Martins Haven is the boarding point for boat trips to the magical bird islands of Skomer and Skokholm, just off the Pembokeshire coast.
  • These islands are famous for their wonderful bird life - especially Skomer's enormous and comical colony of puffins - and the surrounding waters are some of the richest for wildlife in Britain.
  • Marloes Sands is a must visit - a National Trust beach which is just spectacular. A short stroll (5 mins) from the (NT) car park brings you to this delightful beach. Enjoy the stunning scenery and as the tide ebbs out it reveals an expanse of beautiful golden sand, with rocky outcrops adding real character.
  • The village of Marloes is then within easy reach. For a small village it is well-provided with a convenience store, a village pub - The Lobster Pot serving good food.
The City of St Davids
  • St Davids is Britain's smallest city - In fact only the size of a small village.
  • At the heart of the ‘city' is St Davids's lovely 12th century Cathedral. Deep in the valley the Cathedral is a place of calm, a wonderful historic building. Be sure to visit - in such a small remote town, it is a wonder to behold!
  • Just across the little river Alun is the 13th Century Bishops' Palace - originally splendid, it is now a well-maintained ruin, left to fall down by a departing bishop who was said to have taken the lead off the roof to pay for his daughter's dowry! Now a ruin to delight the heart of visiting children and adults alike with some lovely restored windows and decorative masonry.
Haverfordwest Golf Course
  • Set near the National Park the challenging course has magnificent views of the Preseli Hills. There is a Pro shop, club house, golfers bar and a restaurant offering home cooked food in a convivial atmosphere. Combine your visit with a trip to the County town.
Family days out in Pembrokeshire
  • Away from the appeal of the coastline, Pembrokeshire is well-supplied with holiday attractions to delight the family. Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Manor Wildlife Park, West Wales Karting and Scolton Manor Museum and Country Park are but a few. There is plenty to choose from to suit interests of all sorts.
A charrming retreat in the lovely coastal village location of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire.
