About The Keys

A luxurious contemporary bungalow with stunning views of the Preseli Mountains and the upper reaches of the Cleddau Estuary. Sleeping 4 it is situated on a quiet road overlooking rolling fields.

  • Located in the small vibrant fishing village of Llangwm it is the perfect base to explore Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the glorious sandy beaches of the county.
  • Llangwm is a buzzing village and boasts some of the county's best-loved events including a Literary festival and an exciting annual carnival. With its proud fishing heritage guests will find many water-based activities on the doorstep from fishing to sailing or for the less adventurous a gentle stroll on the foreshore.
  • The property has been completely refurbished with oak floors throughout, an open plan kitchen with island and living room and two bedrooms. The exceptionally well-appointed property really is a home from home.

Very comfortable and well kitted out cottage. We really enjoyed our stay, just wish the weather had been more welcoming!

Llangwm

  • Small boats can be launched from Llangwm, a small village with a long and colourful history, which nestles on the western bank of the Cleddau Estuary.
  • Once a fishing village, famous for oysters, cockles, herrings and its tough fisher women who sold their wares all over the county, Llangwm is now renowned for its annual Scarecrow Festival held in late June/July and a grand New Year's Day firework display. There is a village shop/pharmacy, post office, The Cottage Inn (good bar food) and the Rugby Club - visitors welcome!

South Pembrokeshire Beaches and Coastal Path

  • South Pembrokeshire's glorious beaches including Broad Haven South, beautiful Barafundle, Freshwater East and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with its fantastic scenery are all within 15 - 20 minutes drive - lots of fun for all the family with water sports galore, rock pooling, swimming, boat trips to the bird islands and wonderful coastal walking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - a true holiday paradise.

Little England Beyond Wales

  • South Pembrokeshire is often referred to as 'little England beyond Wales'. The locals speak English, place names are English and yet the area is surrounded by Welsh speakers on all sides even in north Pembrokeshire! During the 12th century Henry I allowed a number of Flemish to settle and they were soon joined by English settlers. The Flemish and English languages were similar at the time. This led to the extinction of Welsh in the area.

Pembrokeshire's Secret Waterway & National Park

  • Do explore this unique local inland detached section of the Pembrokeshire National Park - a peaceful, tranquil area with lovely scenery, bird life aplenty and lots of wonderful woodland and riverside walks and waterside villages.

Pembrokeshire Castles

Dale

  • Dale on the Milford Haven Waterway is a water sports Mecca in a sheltered bay. The sparkling waters and gently shelving beach are perfect for wind surfing, sailing and kayaking.

West Wales Water sports

  • Tuition and rentals are available from West Wales Wind, Surf and Sail in Dale village.

Skomer Island

  • Boat trips to Skomer Island leave regularly from Martins Haven (weather permitting) . Tickets can only be bought on the day of sailing at Lockley Lodge. Be early to be sure of a place. Be prepared to see myriad seabirds including comical puffins and seals.

Marloes

  • Marloes Sands is a must visit, this National Trust beach is fabulous with spectacular geology, great for rock pooling.

Milford Marina and Museum

  • Once a commercial quayside, the busy marina is now lined with cafes, restaurants, smart shops and Phoenix Bowl - a ten pin bowling alley with an indoor play area.
  • Milford Haven Heritage & Maritime Museum is situated in the old whale oil storage building built in 1797 and one of the oldest buildings in the town.
  • The museum illustrates the major industries of the town's past and present - whaling, fishing and petroleum.

Torch Theatre

  • Do visit the award winning Torch Theatre for live performances and cinema screenings throughout the year.

Shearwater Safaris

  • Thrilling boat trips leave from Neyland Marina on the Cleddau River to discover the Secret Waterway, explore the bustling Haven Waterway and visit internationally important bird islands teeming with wildlife, spotting seals, dolphins and birds along the way.
