About Lochturffin Old Farmhouse

North Pembrokeshire Farmhouse - Sleeps 8 - with Hot Tub

  • An original North Pembrokeshire Farmhouse (part 17th century in origin) - with 3 floors, tastefully furnished, equipped and decorated to a high standard throughout. ('Visit Wales' 5 Star).
  • Adjacent to, but completely separate from the owners historic manor house, the Farmhouse has its own private access and an enclosed garden, patio with rattan patio furniture, loungers, wooden furniture, charcoal barbecue and brazier.
  • There is a large well maintained hot tub on the patio (used at your own risk and please supervise children at all times) - enjoy an evening's relaxation as the sun goes down!
  • A full sized tennis court is available for the energetic as well as sole use of the owner's gym and games room. There is a full sized table tennis, table football and TV monitor for use with games consoles. The enclosed private garden is ideal for children and pets to play in,
  • Set in a small woodland grove on a quiet and private tree-lined country lane, with access to Lochturffin's Nature Reserve a short stroll away. Picnic by the lakes, take an evening walk, watch galore wildlife galore - maybe even trout leaping.
  • Enjoy fly fishing on the private lakes - the larger one is stocked with rainbow trout. NB. swimming is not allowed in the lakes, please supervise children at all times. A fishing licence is required and fishing is limited to 2 rods at any one time. The season is from 1st April to 31 October.
  • A short stroll along the owner's private lane leads to Lochturffin's Nature Reserve - picnic by the lakes, take an evening walk, watch wildlife galore - maybe even trout leaping!
  • Central on St Davids Peninsula and within a short drive of Abereiddy, Aberfelin, Abercastle, Abermawr and Aberbach & Whitesands beach to the north and picturesque Solva harbour and Newgale to the south.
  • Fishguard, 9 miles away, has a small cinema, bank, post office, supermarket, filling station, chemist and interesting independent shops including 'Jane's,' a haberdashery emporium & tea room!
  • There is a wealth of literature available for guests including leaflets, maps, walks, beaches and places to visit with guest recommendations for places to eat.
  • Flexible Short Breaks available throughout the winter months only, 160 per night.

4 Bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 8. Master Bedroom with Kingsize bed and Double bedroom with en-suite (walk in shower, toilet and washbasin) on 2nd floor, 2 Twin bedrooms on 1st floor. (off sitting room with views over surrounding gardens and countryside). NB low headroom on part of staircase - low beams.

Bathroom on 2nd floor with bath, toilet, wash hand basin and heated towel rail (sloping ceiling and low beams).

Shower Room on 1st floor with walk in shower, toilet, wash hand basin and heated towel rail

Sitting Room a spacious room on 1st floor with stylish leather sofas and chairs, oak furniture, 42" flat screen TV, fully SKY package, Sony music system, ipod docking station.

Luxury Fitted Kitchen on ground floor, well equipped, quarry tiled floor, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, farmhouse table and chairs to seat 8, baby gates, Sheila Maid ceiling clothes dryer.

Utility area off kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. 

Grounds enclosed garden and sole use of owner's tennis court & gym with full sized table tennis, table football and games monitor. Large Hot Tub (used at your own risk & please supervise children at all times), outdoor furniture, large charcoal barbecue (charcoal not supplied) & brazier. Lockable large stone built shed with its own grounds for storage of bikes, surfboards etc. and drying rack for wet suits. Tennis rackets with balls and a Boules Set for guests to use.

Fly fishing on private lake in Nature Reserve, 2 minutes walk from the property. Please supply own equipment using dry fly or nymphs - no reservoir lures. Catch & release is encouraged but you are welcome to take 1 rainbow trout home per day. Swimming is not permitted and please supervise children at all times. A fishing logbook is available for you to complete. No charge.

Beautifully renovated cottage. First class. Loved hot tub and gym.Fully enclosed areas for dogs with no need to worry that they would escape. Lovely walks around the very private fishing lakes. Loads of CD's, DVDs, board games and books for rainy days.Perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday.

A beautiful cottage in a truly stunning part of the world. The house has everything you could possibly need and is totally comfortable, stylish and well appointed. The weather this week has been Mediterranean. Fantastic garden and lakes to use. Will highly recommend to family and friends.
