To the owners of this lovely house! We would just like to say a big thank you for the use of your house. We found it very homely and relaxing. The fenced area meant we could let the children run around and play freely. The area is beautiful and we love the seaside! Absolutely no complaints and thank you so much for the welcome treats. Very much appreciated.

Very warm and relaxing, home from home

Anita Birkin - 5th November 2018

Extremely comfortable cottage which had everything we needed. It was extremely clean, warm and welcoming. Loved the welcome tray with all we needed to make a cup of tea after a long journey plus fresh flowers and a bottle of wine for when we’d settled in. Garden was ideal for children and dogs. We would definitely go again.

Lovely spacious holiday home, absolutely spotless and very fast WiFi. Loved the welcome stuff from the owners - fresh flowers etc

Deborah Sheen - 8th September 2018

We booked a cottage in North Pembrokeshire as a late deal. Customer service was very good, got a minor discount for last minute booking. House was in a great location 15 mins from centre of St David's and a (longish) walk to Trefin. Interior was very 70s (lots of dark wood and floral patterns) which was fine and clean and everything generally worked but it did slightly have the feel of staying in your grandparents' house whilst they're away for the week. Owner was very nice and popped round to check everything was ok, and brought round adaptor plugs for toothbrush/shaver as there aren't any sockets in the house for them. There is generally a lack of plug sockets in the house (e.g. just one in the bedroom which makes charging phones and watches and ipads and kindles etc an ordered process!). Kitchen is perfectly adequate- again, all quite dated but it works and there are plenty of bowls, cutlery etc. One major gripe is that there is no dryer which is a pain when you have a family with bundles of washing from having been at the beach each day and the utility room is too damp for anything to dry on the rack (We tried this and it took more than 48 hours for clothes to even be slightly dry enough to wear). Beds are all fine - quite firm which we liked but other reviews suggest that they are not for everyone. Showers are not great- the basic electric style which are not very powerful and one of them is downstairs which is a faff. There was also a lack of hot water each evening which meant we had to give the kids showers as we didn't want to have to wait for the immersion to heat more water. TV worked fine but DVD was broken (but not a big deal as you don't/shouldn't go to a fantastic area like Pembrokeshire to watch tv/DVDs!!). Overall, as a relatively cheap and cheerful cottage (booked at the last minute) for a week in August in a popular tourist area, it was a nice base from which we could explore the area and overall met our needs adequately. Probably wouldn't go back, mainly because of the lack of dryer and it's nice to have a bit more luxury as a treat when you go away whereas this house is best described as functional (albeit perfectly clean and generally well provisioned).
