We've had a fabulous week here in your beautiful house, so well equipped with absolutely everything we could we could wish for and will especially miss the amazing coffee machine...This is really more than a home from home and you have thought of everything. Thank you so much for the goodies when we arrived, another thoughtful touch. Our two little dogs loved the freedom of the garden and making us chase them down to the water's edge! We visited some beautiful places and our favourites were Picton Castle & Gardens and Hilton Garden Court.

Wonderful house with every facility under the sun. Appointments to a very high standard and quality. Five stars all around. Particularly loved sitting in the quiet conservatory, reading and overlooking the estuary. Lovely! Would love to return. Ollie was super relaxed & happy here. Many thanks.

13th April 2018

This was our second visit to Rose House and we have been as thrilled to be here as we were first time round. Our three daughters were beyond excited to arrive on the Friday night, running to their rooms and happily snuggling down to the very cosy beds. Equally my husband and I felt a sense of coming back to our home from home as we turned into the drive.
We have really appreciated all the new touches that have been bought in with new ownership. It's so lovely when you have three children and a dog (so a very full car) to arrive somewhere so well equipped, comfortable and practical on every level.
Again two of our daughters celebrated their birthdays here as they did last year and yet again they will have memories that will be cherished for a long while to come. 'Folly farm' and 'Manor Park Wildlife' were where they chose for their birthdays, both we all thoroughly enjoyed.
We shall be back!

A beautiful house in a great location. Rose House has been a real home from home with everything you could need and more. We really don't want to leave! We have been to some lovely beaches; Whitesands, and Freshwater and had some delicious meals, our favourite being The Griffin Inn at Dale and The Shed at Porthgain. Thank you Chrystal and Simon for the wine, Welsh cakes and milk. We hope to return one day.

The Lewis', Hampshire
2nd February 2018

Thank you! This house is comfortable, well thought out, beautifully presented, warm and comfortable.

We really appreciated the welcome pack and the house being so warm and clean for our arrival.

We loved the views from the sun room but took ourselves out for good long walks every day. Barafundle is a beautiful beach but we think Marloes Sands at low water has more of interest, and a hike around Stackpole Estate is fascinating.

For dinners we highly recommend The Bar at Neyland Marina. You will probably need to book.

About the Area

If you would like more information on the local area, please call us on 01348 837871 to speak to one of our friendly team.

Little England Beyond Wales

  • South Pembrokeshire is often referred to as 'little England beyond Wales'. The locals speak English, place names are English and yet the area is surrounded by Welsh speakers on all sides even in north Pembrokeshire! During the 12th century Henry I allowed a number of Flemish to settle in the area and they were soon joined by English settlers. The Flemish and English languages were similar at the time. This led to the extinction of Welsh in the area.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

  • The Pembrokeshire Coast Path - 186 miles of glorious scenery and fabulous walking - and Neyland Marina are within 2 miles of this luxurious Haven Waterway holiday home.

Neyland Marina

  • Arrange a Sea Safari, sight seeing/fishing trip or charter a dive boat at Neyland Marina where there is a quayside restaurant The Bar overlooking the Haven and Brunel Cafe for coffee cakes and light lunches - watch the endless activity of sailing boats coming and going.

Brunel's Cycle Track

  • Cycle or walk the Brunel Track - along the old railway built by Neyland's founder - Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

  • Stackpole is both a listed designed landscape and an internationally important nature reserve. Footpaths radiate from the site of Stackpole Court, a grand mansion demolished before the National Trust owned this area. Walk through woodlands to the unique Bosherston Lily Ponds a great spot for otters, water birds and dragonflies. Head on to the glorious golden sands of Broad Haven South beach.

  • Just 20 minutes' drive away, beautiful Barafundle - voted the best beach and picnic spot in Britain - and listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Clear azure waters and shimmering sands are the order of the day here. Enjoy a picnic on the beach then stroll back along the coastal path to the Stackpole Quay teashop for afternoon tea with freshly baked scones with jam and cream. Owned and run by the National Trust it offers a relaxing atmosphere with splendid cakes and refreshments.

  • Pembroke - with its very well preserved medieval castle (birthplace of Henry VII) which hosts lots of events throughout the year - is a fascinating small historic town with a mill pond, individual shops, pubs and restaurants.

The Corn Store, Pembroke

  • Do visit The Corn Store for stylish modern furniture, lamps etc - and its coffee shop (lovely cakes and lunches) overlooking the picturesque mill pond and Pembroke Castle.

Antiques Emporia, Pembroke

  • Perhaps the largest antique centre in Pembrokeshire is located at the top of the town in two old chapels, the Pembroke Antique Centre and The Chapel Antiques and Crafts.

St Brides Bay Pembrokeshire

  • Lots to discover - the soft, golden, sandy beaches of St Brides Bay, Dale and Marloes Peninsula, and the rugged beauty of the St Davids Peninsula. Dogs are welcome all year round on many beaches, some allow restricted access only during the summer months.

  • Golfers are well catered for at Milford Haven, Trefloyne Manor in Tenby, South Pembrokeshire Golf Club in Pembroke Dock and St Davids City Golf Club.

Family Fun

  • Theme and adventure parks for all the family include Carew Karting, Oakwood, Folly Farm, Heatherton Sports Park, the Blue Lagoon Water Park, Manor House Wildlife Park, the Dinosaur ParkPembroke Castles, Carew Castle, Manorbier Castle and many more.

  • Don't miss Upton Castle with its waterside walk, Victorian rose garden, fabulous arboretum and stunning unique medieval chapel and Picton Castle's woodland gardens with courtyard restaurant and guided tours of the castle.

  • South Pembrokeshire has more than its fair share of magnificent castles to explore. They all host a variety of events throughout the year. Visit Pembroke Castle once home to the Tudor dynasty, Carew Castle more of a grand fortified home and Manorbier Castle beside Manorbier's beautiful sandy beach.

Rose House is a luxury waterside home conveniently located for exploring the whole of Pembrokeshire.
