The whole house is in need of a good clean, when was it last inspected? Shower in twin room flooded, upstairs shower has lots of mould, balls of dust under all the beds. The access road is unsuitable and dangerous for all types of cars. The kitchen should have a smoke alarm. The beds were comfortable, good bed linen, comfortable seating, excellent kitchen equipment. The owners offered us a discount if we visited again.

Thank you for your comments and feedback these matters have already been passed to the owner and dealt with.
Well stocked with crockery, cutlery and saucepans etc. but weighing scales would have been appreciatedBeds were comfortable as was the entire property with spectacular views across the bay.Spacious property with more than adequate bathroom facilities.Good parking.Property was nice and warm.Good range of local information and general reading material.TV, SKY and DVD player were appreciated. However, we were disappointed when we arrived at the property to find cobwebs in all rooms. Our 3 young grandchildren would not go to bed until we had hoovered and dusted away the cobwebs. on hoovering under the beds, we found a quantity of dead flies, fluff and several items such as broken coat hangers. When putting clothes into the chest of drawers in the ground floor bedroom, I almost sliced my finger on a sheet of clear glass which had been left there. Although the kitchen was well stocked, all cupboards bar one were full with cleaning equipment, crockery etc. this one available cupboard for our food items was both dirty and dusty. I would not use it.The fridge might need servicing. We found our food was being frozen and spoiled even though the control setting was what we would use at home.Blown light bulbs in the living area had not been replaced since the last letting. Both the light bulbs over the stairs had blown - a health and safety issue. Even though there were spare bulbs in the cupboards we could not replace these bulbs safely because of the height over the stairs. We were unable to find a clothes line to dry wet clothes.

Excellent house in good location for peaceful holiday
Excellent
Great location, lovely space and views. Good facilities.
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Hillside House.
We have had a lovely time at Hillside House. The weather was good. We enjoyed the surfing at Newgale, rock pooling at St Brides and watching the divers at the Blue Lagoon. But my favourite was going to Folly Farm and Picton Castle.
Fantastic holiday home. Best outlook and communal areas we have ever had. What a view - even on a rainy day! Enjoyed all aspects of mixed weather, good waves and sunny days on the beach. Thank you for sharing this amazing place with us. Fantastic to have access to a garage for parking surf boards/canoe etc. Thank you
We have had a wonderful week. The house is great; the views wonderful; the surf great and the weather a treat - never seen so many people without wet suits in the sea! Thank you very much.
Have thoroughly enjoyed our return visit to Hillside Cottage and Newgale - and we hope to be back again! Picton Castle Gardens are certainly worth visit and we also enjoyed our Seal Safari Boat Trip from Tenby. Charlie the seagull has knocked demandingly on the lounge window on quite a few occasions. He was unsuccessful and , today, has given up in disgust!
A lovely place to stay, this is our third visit and we will be back!! Fantastic view.
