Why you love Glan Helyg
Great house, really well equipped, beautifully clean and in a fantastic location. We had a great time. Thanks

What a beautiful house. It was like "home from home". Thank you. Everyone has been so kind and hospitality in the village was lovely.
Pualine, Dublin
This is a lovely, spacious and well equipped house with everything you could want for a family holiday. Both the outside and inside space are beautifully clean and very well presented. I always dread finding that the pictures were taken years ago and that the house turns out to be disappointing. In fact the photos don't do it justice as some rooms are actually more spacious than they appear. The bathrooms are lovely and plentiful. In fact we didn't manage to make full use of all of them despite being 4 adults, 1 4year old and 2 babies. The kitchen is especially well equipped with loads of crockery and cutlery and just about everything you'd need to cook a gourmet meal - although we didn't try. Only missing item we would have liked was a toast rack! The extra sitting room is great if you have different groups wanting to do different things. The shops are in easy reach and you can walk down to the beach although it does take about 20 minutes with young children. This beach is more for boaters and isn't great for children but it does have great rocks for crab catching just under the golf course at high tide. Bacon is the favoured bait tied to a piece of string. My grandson caught lots and was thrilled. The better beach is a short drive away through the village. It has a car park ( small charge)and café. The Tourist Information Centre across the road from the house is excellent and can provide maps to the swimming pool and Sea Centre in Fishguard, play areas and lots of other things to do. The weather wasn't great for us but heh it's Britain and we managed some beach days!
