• The Parrog A delightful stretch of coastline. The Coast Path twists and turns its way round to the old lifeboat station, sometimes on the beach, at times on the road and at one point crosses a fantastic causeway built of slates in a herringbone pattern
• Cwm yr Eglwys is a picturesque cove a short drive away. Overlooked by the remains of St Bynach's 12th century church, the sheltered sand and shingle beach is a great family favourite

Walking Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Preseli Hills

• This is wonderful walking country either, on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path or along the ancient footpaths crisscrossing the Preseli Hills (Bluestone country). Pets are welcome.
  

Walk Dinas Island Coastal Path

• The Dinas Island walk shows the Pembrokeshire coast at its best. Rugged and beautiful. Start at Pwllgwaelod, walk on around the peninsula then through the pretty seaside village of Cwm yr Eglwys and back to Pwllgwaelod. Enjoy a drink & meal at the Old Sailors said to have been in business for 500 years!.

Walk from Molygrove to Newport. Pets welcome

• A 3 1/2 hour walk with spectacular sea views that includes the famous 'Witches Cauldron' and the picturesque National Trust headland of Ceibwr Bay and ends in the small welcoming town of Newport. Please note some stretches of this path are steep and the cliffs are very high, less experienced walkers might want to allow more time. The Poppit Rocket coastal bus operates along this route.

Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill

• Well worth a visit, just a short drive from Newport, in Castle Morris, a working mill with excellent cafe and shop. This mill has been on this site since the 17th century when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into splendid quality Welsh wool blankets.

Llanwnda Riding Stables

• Based in the picturesque seaside village of Goodwick guests can enjoy trekking, riding and hacking through some of Pembrokeshire's most spectacular scenery. Lessons for novices available too. Ask about half day and full day treks suitable for all levels of experience.

• Visit the nearby Pembrokeshire Gardens open to the public. Penlan Uchaf has acres of landscaped garden including a fast flowing stream set high above the Gwaun Valley. Dyffryn Fernant Gardens, set in 6 acres of grounds and features courtyard roses, orchard, wild flowers, wood, walks and more.

Preseli Mohair Centre

• Stock up on your winter woollies at the Preseli Mohair Centre in Mynachlog-ddu. Fleece from home reared Angora goats is used to produce the garments and yarns for sale.

Bluestone Brewery

• A family-run brewery producing a variety of different real ales. Enjoy a pint of the good stuff with beautiful views of the Preseli Hills and on brewing day you can see the brewers at work. Bottles and gift packs are for sale and acoustic music nights are held every Saturday.

Castell Henllys

• Enjoy a guided tour around this recreated Iron Age settlement with its roundhouses built exactly where they stood over 2,000 years ago. Set within 30 acres of beautiful woodland and river meadows in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park - your dog is welcome too!

Poppit Rocket Bus Service near Newport cottage

• Do take the opportunity to leave your car behind and make use of the excellent Poppit Rocket National Park bus service. The 405 runs between Cardigan and Newport calling in at all the beaches.

• This bustling little market town on the Teifi river is well worth a visit to browse the wide range of shops, indoor market, gallery, heritage centre It also has a boat club and the vibrant theatre Mwldan.

Cilgerran Castle

• Do pack a picnic and visit Cilgerran Castle, overlooking the Teifi, a river favoured by the small Welsh boat called the coracle.
• Take the wall-walk to truly appreciate why the 800 castle was built here. Stunning location. Perfect for stunning attackers. The Normans first saw the potential and established an early 'ringwork' castle here, but the imposing masonry castle we see today was probably the work of William Marshal, Earl of Pembroke.

Teifi Valley
