Morlan Cottage was handpicked by our team to join our portfolio. Here's just a few of the reasons we think you'll love staying in Morlan Cottage too!
This stunning example of a Pembrokeshire cottage has been extensively renovated for your enjoyment while keeping the charm of its vernacular features and so sits quietly and elegantly in its similarly stunning surroundings. Nestled at the point where the ancient Preseli Hills meet the wild waters of the West, Morlan Cottage offers a true Pembrokeshire experience, complete with desirable sea views.
This neat cottage is surprisingly spacious, sleeping up to six people comfortably in three roomy and tastefully conserved bedrooms. Two king bedrooms and a spacious twin room sit under beautiful wooden beams, with dormer windows allowing the light and sea air to stream into these delightful spaces.
Both the large family bathroom and the smaller shower room are immaculate, with white glazed wall tiles and square sinks giving these clean, bright spaces a modern edge. The family bathroom also features an L-shaped bath with an overhead shower.
Downstairs, the traditional sized lounge not only houses comfortable seating and a large Freeview TV, but the delight of this room is the stone-surrounded open fireplace, sitting resplendently on a slate hearth with a large wooden beam above. This is the heart of this house, and the warm wooden floors and traditional beams are beautifully hearty in the flickering light of the fire.
The large kitchen diner extends out to the side of the property with stunning views towards the enclosed garden area and the fields that extend out towards the sea. This cool, contemporary space contrasts with the traditional lounge in its modernity, but cleverly ties in with the cottage kitchen theme with its shaker units, Belfast sink, and beautiful large dining table.
Patio doors lead out from the kitchen diner, which is so large that it has its own comfortable corner sofa, and out into the beautiful outdoor space. Here you'll find a six-seater outdoor dining set with sea views for the ultimate al fresco dining.
As well as thinking of every amenity that you would need in your home away from home, the owners of Morlan Cottage have taken care to decorate this property in a country chic style. Every bedroom is crisp and clean, but with touches of bygone beauty all around, such as the woollen blankets, the exposed beams, and the iron bed frames with comfortable mattresses. Comfort, style, and position within view of the Pembrokeshire coast are exceptional in this property.
3 lovely bedrooms sleep a maximum of 6 people.
The first of two king bedrooms has a king-size bed, bedside table with lamp, seating area with beautiful exposed beam and a skylight.
Opposite this room is the large twin with two comfortable single beds, a seat, a skylight and a dormer window.
Downstairs, the second king bedroom is large and spacious with a pine king-size bed, bedside table with lamp, chest of drawers and hanging rail and a large window facing the front of the property.
The family bathroom with large L-shaped bath with an overhead shower, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rails and mirror on ground floor. Shower room with rain shower, washbasin, mirror, heated towel rail on the ground floor.
Kitchen diner with brand new, luxury fitted, modern kitchen, 4 burner hob, oven, integrated dishwasher. Fridge/freezer, microwave and Belfast sink. Large table and chairs to seat 6. Large corner sofa and coffee table. Double doors to patio and enclosed garden area with sea view.
Small utility with stainless steel sink, washer and dryer as well as additional storage space leading from the kitchen diner.
Lounge with wood burning stove, exposed beams and stunning wooden floors. The lounge area comes with a TV cabinet with a flat-screen TV, coffee table, 1 two-seater sofa and two armchairs. A large window looks towards the front of the property.
Grounds with rear fully-enclosed, private garden and outdoor dining area, accessible from the kitchen. The garden is fully enclosed and lends easy access to the rear private parking area via the latched gate. Stunning sea views towards Newport Sands.

Newport
The idyllic coastal town of Newport, Pembrokeshire, just minutes away from Morlan Cottage, is one of the most desirable holiday destinations in West Wales. Beautiful beaches and rolling farmland surround this paradise for bird watchers, walkers, sailors, naturalists, sand, and sea lovers alike.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path at Newport
The Coast Path twists and turns its way round to the old lifeboat station, sometimes on the Parrog beach, at times on the road and at one point crosses a fantastic causeway built of slates in a herringbone pattern.
Newport Sands
The beach at Newport is a mile-long, fantastic stretch of golden sands that sweep around Newport Bay - ideal for swimming, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. The popular Newpork Links Golf Club sits atop the hill which leads down to this dramatic stretch of sandy shore, with the highest cliffs in Pembrokeshire at Dinas Island in the distance.
Walk Dinas Island Coastal Path
The Dinas Island walk shows the Pembrokeshire coast at its best. Rugged and beautiful.
Start at Pwllgwaelod, walk on around the peninsula then through the pretty seaside village of Cwm yr Eglwys and back to Pwllgwaelod. Enjoy a drink & meal at the Old Sailors said to have been in business for 500 years!
Cwm yr Eglwys
This picturesque cove is just a short drive away from Morlan Cottage heading towards Dinas. Overlooked by the remains of St Bynach's 12th-century church, the sheltered sand and shingle beach is a great family favourite. There's a fantastic mile-long walk through the wooded valley to its 'twin cove', Pwllgwaelod, where the busy Old Sailors pub offer local ales and great pub food overlooking the sea.
Newport has been described as the gourmet capital of Pembrokeshire. Recommended restaurants and cafes include:
Llys Meddyg - Georgian townhouse restaurant and cellar bar which serves the finest dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, as well as delicious cocktails and mocktails.
Cafe Blas at Fronlas - really good, unpretentious Welsh menu in a welcoming, contemporary and cosy dog-friendly cafe.
Tides Kitchen And Wine Bar - a cafe/deli offering lunches and evening meals, specialising in seafood & local ingredients. Fizz & Fish Night every Thursday.
The Canteen - serving fantastic homemade pizzas & burgers, a relaxing vibe, and family-friendly.
The Golden Lion - one of Pembrokeshire's premier gastro pubs, with excellent locally sourced food, and the option to dine al fresco in the summer in the heated outdoor space.
Cat Rock Cafe: this fantastic new cafe is attached to the golf course and overlooks the bay - one of the best spots to eat delicious food while overlooking a beach in all of Pembrokeshire!
Bluestone Brewery
Bluestone Brewing is a family-run brewery tucked away in rural North Pembrokeshire. Ales are brewed in the rough and rocky hills of the Bluestone mountains. Throughout the year several open-air events are held with live music, food and entertainment.
Poppit Rocket Bus Service & Preseli Walkers Bus
Forget the car and take a ride on the Poppit Rocket - a daily coastal bus service running between Fishguard and Cardigan or the Preseli Walkers Bus to explore the magical Preseli Hills, dotted with prehistoric remains and the origin sites of Stonehenge, which rise behind Newport beginning with Carn Ingli, or Angel's Mountain.
Castell Henllys Iron Age Village
Set within 30 acres of beautiful woodland and river meadows in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, 6 miles from Morlan Cottage. As well as being home to expertly recreated Iron Age roundhouses built exactly where they would have stood more than 2,000 years ago, the natural surroundings are teeming with wildlife, such as otters, swallows and bats.
Dogs on leads are welcome, not inside the cafe, but on the veranda and outside seating areas.
Although the roundhouses are the main attraction, Castell Henllys also has a Visitor Centre, which includes a shop and cafe, with interactive exhibitions, children's play area and maze and riverside picnic site.
Pentre Ifan
This Neolithic burial chamber is one of the best examples of its kind in the UK. It sits resplendently along Carn Ingli, with the ancient woodland of Ty Canol Woods and the peaks of Carnedd Meibion Owen behind it, and the splendour of the Pembrokeshire coast spread out in front of it - a great place for walks, photographs, and an all-round experience of the ancient roots of this fantastic county.
Gwaun Valley & Tafarn Sin
The exceptionally beautiful, deeply wooded Gwaun Valley is highly regarded by geologists. It can be enjoyed at Llanychaer.
Do drive on to Rosebush and enjoy a meal in the award-winning historic Tafarn Sinc. A good day out for guests staying in this luxury holiday cottage in Newport Pembrokeshire.
