The house and its grounds provided superb value for money
lovely location, cottage well appointed, spacious and comfortable
We have stayed at this property on two occasions over the last 4/5 years, and loved it however I feel that the house now needs some TLC. The door in the dining area can be hard to lock and unlock, the heating/hot water is unreliable. We had the boiler on constantly one day to heat the water but still it was only warm, the water from the sink tap was boiling but shower/bath only warm even after running it. Really couldn't figure it out. Every time I wanted a bath or shower I would have to run the water to see if I was able to get hot water, if so I'd have a bath if not I'd have to try again later! Due to covid there are now no info booklets about the property and the emailed version didn't give much on what to do if a problem occurred. Found the recycling bins strewn down the side of the property on day two. There is also now a property next to this one that has been modernised and hedges removed that has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the front of The burgage, so we felt better to keep the kitchen blinds and bedroom curtains closed as they would be able to see straight in. Also might be a idea to now have some blinds on the bathroom window now this property next door is facing it. Dog friendly property with a lovely lawn that the dogs loved running on, but be careful as there are gaps the the boundary hedge/fence especially by the front gate that the dogs can easily get through. Unfortunately we will not book this property again as we feel that it is not being looked after anymore, but have some happy memories here.
Fabulous location beautiful property plenty of space for children or in our case dogs to run around. The Burgage was warm and welcoming on arrival the heating was on. The one thing that let it down was the damp in the master bedroom downstairs needs to be sorted as we were promised it had been especially as one of our party had Asthma so made that room not really accessible which was a disappointment otherwise would have been 5 stars

Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear that you had a wonderful stay at The Burgage. It really is a lovely property, and the owner has done such a great job to ensure it's cosy and welcoming, especially in those colder months! We are sorry to hear that there was an issue with the master bedroom - we have spoken to the owner about this, and they have since rectified the problem there. We are pleased to hear that despite this issue, you were still able to enjoy your stay at The Burgage, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
A very spacious and clean cottage, we loved the upside-down living and that dogs were welcome. The garden is extensive but not currently enclosed, so not suitable for dogs that might like to escape. It's a two minute walk down to Nolton Haven beach, or to the coastal path to either Newgale or Druidston Haven (which is incredible at low tide). We hope to visit again one day!
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at The Burgage.
Great time. Location great for the dogs, they had plenty of room. Local pub bit of a let down but beach was close and kids loved it.
