The property was a good size and very well equipped. The position was also very good, very near to the beach and town if you can climb hills. Parking was easy. However there was a distinct lack of maintenance. The front door didnt fit and needed to be slammed and was hard to lock. There were 5 light bulbs missing or broken including hallway. The oven was greasy and contained used oven trays with baked on food. There was a smell of mustiness throughout. Never seen so many air conditioners, predictably empty! The outside area was unusable full of moss and leaves.

3 stars feels a bit mean as the flat itself is worth 4 stars but the outside space really lets it down. There is a table and chairs outside but the space is so uninviting that we never used it. There wasnt a working light and the steps down to the lower level were slippery. Could really do with a bit of money spending on it and some TLC. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the lounge comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. Not sure I would have been happy putting a baby in the nursery as it is windowless and small and during the hot weather could be stifling.

Lovely property in an amazing location. The property has recently been refurbished to a good standard with everything you need and if you stick your head out of the bedroom and lounge windows you can see the sea. The only downside was the garden, it needs a bit of TLC and was a bit slippy in parts also not very dog friendly we had to keep her in the lead when in the garden. On a positive note only a minutes walk from the dog friendly Glen beach where we would take our coffee and sit in the morning with the dog and admire the view. When the tides out you can walk into the village but its still only a 5 minute walk along the road. If the garden was sorted it would be a 5 star review.

A beautiful holiday flat which was just perfect! Lovely furnishings, all mod cons and situated a few minutes from the beach. When the tide is out you can actually walk right into Saundersfoot along the beach. The flat was well catered for all our needs. Upon arrival we had a welcome pack of eggs, milk, butter, bread and Welsh cakes and there was an 'honesty cupboard' containing plenty of food and a huge selection of alcoholic drinks to make our first night special. It was a lovely touch! The only criticism I would make (and it's very minor) is that there was no full-length mirror. It was not a problem though, we would definitely stay here again!

These beautiful historic gardens are a must for garden lovers in any season but are particularly beautiful in the early summer. Enjoy a family day out here - children can build dens, cross streams with ropes, maybe plant bulbs or spread wildflower seeds, spot wildlife and birds.

Relax in the eco cafe with its log fire and extensive wildlife library

Shore Fishing at Freshwater West & East, Rock fishing off Monkston Point

Shore fishing from the rocks and beaches around Freshwater West and East is arguably some of the best in Wales. Remember to pack your fishing gear.

Monkston Point is a good place to bag bass but take care not to get cut off by the tide. A 2 lb bass takes 30 minutes in a hot oven. Just lay on a bed of fresh herbs, sliced onions & seasoning in a buttered pan, pour over 1/2 pint of white wine. Cover and cook. Serve with the remaining white wine chilled. Delicious!

Narberth

Narberth nearby is a small ancient thriving market town with a ruined castle and a mixture of small interesting shops - fishmonger, butcher, grocer, ironmongers, delicatessen, wonderful cake shops, art and craft galleries, antique shops, pubs and restaurants - a great place for gift shopping!

Take a revitalising swim at Narberth's 20 m x 7 m swimming pool or relax in the delightful informal Ultra Comedia Cafe/Tapas Bar/Delicatessen - enjoy delicious produce from Wales, Spain and France. Drop-in at any time during the day - booking necessary for evening meals
