This is our third visit this year! It is a great privilege to come here. Such a warmwelcome and such a peaceful environment. I spite of some indifferent weatherwe have had an amazingtime visiting all ourold favourite haunts. We will be back!

Stayed there before. Lovely location on tidal estuary so great birdlife and changing views. Well equipped cottage and very clean. Owner lives up the road and is helpful.

Lovely, very peaceful and in a beautiful location. The cottage was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The owners were friendly and provided tea, coffee and milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge, lovely start to our holiday.

  • This waterside holiday cottage is in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' Pembrokeshire's Coastal National Park with many 'Sites of Special Scientific Interest' - a haven for sailors, birdwatchers, walkers and naturalists.
  • Estuary shoreline has small sheltered inlets and is a walkers and bird watcher's paradise on the migratory route of the magnificent osprey to Scotland and now to North Wales.
  • There is a footpath leading from the cottage directly onto the foreshore - perfect for keen fisher folk.

Slebech Park Restaurant & Garden (5 miles east of Haverfordwest)
  • Lovers of great food and fresh local ingredients will love Slebech Park one of the finest restaurants in Pembrokeshire. Enjoy brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or an evening meal in the stylish dining room or al fresco on the terrace overlooking the river. On Sundays try an informal Italian supper of 'pasta in the park'. While there do take a stroll around the extensive kitchen gardens and see the flourishing produce before it reaches the kitchen.

Puddleduck Trout Fishery
  • Keen fisher folk will enjoy Puddleduck's two stream fed lakes in the beautiful three and a half acres of woodland in Freystrop. Trout up to 2 lbs can be caught so remember your fishing gear and favourite seafood recipes.
Carew, Castle & Tidal Mill
  • Do visit the little village of Carew on the river Cleddau. An easy circular walk of just a few miles takes you alongside lovely Carew Castle, a hybrid of Elizabethan fancy and earlier defensive necessity, an ancient Celtic Cross, the only restored tidal mill in Wales and the Carew Inn a family friendly venue serving delicious homemade food and real ales at reasonable prices.
Caldey Island
  • Buy your boat trip tickets from the kiosk on Tenby Harbour slipway. Look out for marine wildlife en-route. You will see seabirds. You may see dolphins. The island has been home to Cistercian monks for a thousand years. They farm the land and produce perfume, chocolate and shortbread all on sale in the island shop. Stroll around the countryside, relax on one of the beautiful sandy beaches and do visit the grade II listed Abbey. A peaceful and relaxing day out for all.
