Glad you had a nice stay, thank you for your feedback and comments
The cottage is beautiful, in its own plot and surrounded by stunning scenery. Idyllic setting, pretty garden and roses round the door - it felt like the perfect choice upon arrival. Quiet and private, with a good distance from next property (owners house). Does have a public right of way past the door but we werent aware of walkers passing.Comfortable enough and offered the basics needed. Clean, nipping in fact - nicely decorated. Dog friendly to the extent it allows dogs - typically not on furniture and beds - which is fair. In fact, you really could not find evidence that dogs had stayed there.Very pretty and could have been perfect...but wasnt. 1.The mattresses are the worst weve experienced. The double bed was a slatted frame, with a thin well loved mattress. Good roll-together Action, and kneel on the bed and your knees can feel the wooden bed frame! Springs visible. Not good enough - spending so much for a sleepless week! My husband never suffers with aches and pains but complained of back ache within a couple of nights. I couldnt offer sympathy due to my insomnia! The bed upstairs was complete opposite and very hard. Our daughter struggled saying it was like sleeping on the floor.2. A 5l bin for the kitchen! Seriously? It was a bind having to empty the little bin every day and makes no sense at all. We were eating in the cottage daily, so waste was generated, but it isnt convenient to take trash to the outdoor bins every day.3. This was my gripe - the towels (1x hand and 1x small bath per person) were old and stiff. GREAT for exfoliating! Would have been helpful to have bath mats or additional towels. My husband went out and bought towels - 3 x bath sheets, 3 x hand towels and bath mat, as I couldnt use the ones left. Wish Id known as we would have brought our own and saved the added expense of 72 on something we have lots of in the towel cupboard at home. 4. I stayed in the cottage two days (trying to catch up on sleep!) whilst my husband and daughter went swimming. The owner repaired steps next to the cottage and tethered his dog in the garden (main gated garden). Our young dog was very upset - barking hysterically. Listening to barking for 40 mins whilst this went on was simply torture! Wouldnt be a problem for people with dog that doesnt get anxious and upset when people or dog come into their garden/ space - but ours goes ape! I know Ive detailed minor issues but at the time they were huge - and not what Id expect when you pay so much for a luxury, tranquil cottage These are simple fixes - a little foresight and its be a 5 star experience.

From the owner:- We are sorry that the party found concerns with our cottage. In 9 years of letting this is the first such review we have had. We pride ourselves on being available for our guests, without intruding on their stay and if the concerns had been reported to us at the time we would have done our best to address them. Some of the issues might be considered to be matters of personal preference. We aim to provide a 5 star service and will continue to do our best to do so.
The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a beautifully remote position. A pleasure to sit outside in the evenings and just enjoy the colours and sounds. Lots of interesting birds on the feeder. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Walks books and maps were very useful. We had a mobile and a smartphone and reception was far better than anticipated both indoors and out, Only niggle was the TV screen was too small for the size room. Cottage well placed for exploring the eastern side of the Cleddau and the coast round Tenby and Saundersfoot.

Good
In a fabulous place. Loads of wildlife to observe. Wonderful cottage, clean and comfortable. The weather was scorching but the thick walls kept the rooms cool. Highly recommended.
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Ria's Cottage.
Really enjoyed stay. So much to do in the area and cottage perfect. Lovely to have somewhere to sit for both morning and evening sun
Had a lovely week. Loved the cottage and surrounding area - Angle Beach, Broad Haven South, Bosheston, Stackpole, Picton Castle, Carew Castle all lovely. Enjoyed exploring the back roads. Road to Blackpool mill is lovely. Narberth food shops are a delight. Lawrenny - lovely café. Wave Crest at Angle also lovely. Must come back.
Love the great location, wonderful place for wildlife, great views and walks. Had a lovely meal at the 'Jeff' in Jefferston, and Lawrenny Arms. Definitely coming back, didn't want to leave!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We've had fun with sunshine, surf and explored Pembrokeshire from a lovely base at the cottage. We even got to see a bat*. Thank you.
Lovely cottage in a lovely area. Great walks through the woods for the dog, a great river for canoeing & beautiful beaches for swimming. Saw woodpeckers, jays and coal tits on the feeder which was lovely. A brilliant week overall!
