One could be forgiven for thinking they had arrived in New England when approaching Harmon Vale - no expense was spared in the sleek finish of this welcoming modern townhouse. 

  • This brand new contemporary three storey house is set in an elevated position above the picturesque village of Solva.
  • From the huge sun-drenched picture windows and glass Juliette balconies you can enjoy the breathtaking view over Solva's rooftops to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and rugged St Brides Bay beyond.
  • This semi-detached townhouse has all you need for friends and family to gather - five ensuite bedrooms, open plan kitchen/diner/living space, parking and a hot tub for relaxing after busy days exploring.
  • Throughout the property there is a quiet colour palette with occasional bold striking hues, light solid oak trim and hard wearing weathered oak Amtico flooring have been used throughout - great for days coming back from the beach or dog walks.
  • There are modern features throughout this upside down house - the hallways are automatically lit, there are generous rain showers, and local modern art which is changed from time to time.
  • On the ground floor there are three spacious ensuite bedrooms leading off from the entrance hall, two of these are doubles and the rear bedroom has twin beds which are zip and link so can be made as a double if preferred.
  • Upstairs on the first floor is a vast open plan room made for socialising, flooded with natural light from floor to ceiling sliding windows. It is fitted out for comfortable sitting, elegant dining and efficient, companionable cooking. From here you can access the garden.
  • On the second floor there is a further king size master bedroom at the front, with a huge window overlooking St Brides Bay. A twin bedroom at the back has zip and link twin beds,. The two bedrooms share a large 5 piece Jack and Jill bathroom with bath, toilet, bidet, wash hand basin and a separate walk-in rain shower, touch sensitive lighting and automatic demisting mirrors.
  • The enclosed garden terrace is accessed via a side path and 12 steps or via a door from the kitchen. This bold functional space with hot tub, heavy recycled plastic benches and outdoor dining suite and a stainless steel wall mounted barbecue with space grill, all softened by large potted palms. There are outdoor games, a few surfboards and a 3 seater kayak available for guests to use as well as secure storage for bikes. An outdoor shower is provided, perfect for sandy children and dogs.

  • A picturesque coastal village with a fjord style inlet, small sandy beach at low tide and a selection of good places to eat, drink and shop. Try the Cambrian Inn, The Ship Inn, Cafe 35, Lavender Cafe, The Royal George and the Old Pharmacy. Pembrokeshire Coast Path

  • The celebrated coast path passes around the rugged fringes of the village. Enjoy breathtaking coastal scenery, a profusion of wild flowers and a wealth of wildlife on route.

Coastal Bus Service

  • Leave your car at home and hail the Puffin Shuttle, a dedicated walkers bus that stop at every beach, sleepy village and tiny harbour around the coast from St Davids to the Marloes peninsula.

St Brides Water Taxi

  • Weather permitting the water taxi can take you on a short cruise to start your coastal walk. It calls in at Porth Clais, Porthmynawydd, St Justinians, Nolton Haven and Little Haven. Phone 01437 720972.

Solva Woollen Mill

  • Patronised by Prince Charles, Solva Woollen Mill at Middle Mill is the oldest working woollen mill in Pembrokeshire. It specialises in flat weave carpets, rugs and runners. Visit to watch the looms being worked, browse the shop and enjoy refreshments in the mill cafe.

Newgale

  • A fine 2 mile stretch of golden sands backed by a storm bank of smooth pebbles and sea cliffs with Atlantic rollers to please keen surfers. Hire kit or book surfing tuition at Newsurf located at the northern end of the beach. Enjoy refreshments in the Sands Cafe, the Duke of Edinburgh pub (north) or the Pebbles Cafe (south).

St Davids

  • Britain's tiniest and most characterful city is well worth a visit. Pick up tourist information at Oriel y Parc. Book boat trips in the High St. Arrange for some adventure activities with TYF also in the High St. Visit the magnificent 12th century Cathedral and atmospheric ruins of the Bishop's Palaceand enjoy browsing the local shops and galleries. There is a good choice of places to eat and drink.

Boat Trips

  • Boats leave from St Justinians, sometimes Whitesands beach and from Martins Haven on the Marloes Peninsula to cruise the coast and visit the wildlife rich, offshore islands of Ramsey and Skomer. Look out for thousands of comical breeding puffins in early summer and many other seabirds too.

Whitesands

  • The huge unspoiled crescent of sand is backed by seacliffs and overlooked by the impressive rocky outcrop of Carn Llidi. There is a huge car park, shop and cafe for your convenience. Surfing equipment and surfing tuition are usually avaialable from the car park.

Adventure Activities

  • Coasteering is a popular alternative way of exploring the Pembrokeshire coast that involves rock scrambling, jumping from varying heights into the sea and adventure swimming. Try sea kayaking, sailing, surfing, beach riding and more.

Family Fun

  • The award winning Dr Beynon's Bug Farm and Grub Kitchen on St Davids Peninsula will give hours of fun. Try trampolining at Hangar Five or West Wales Karting both at Withybush near Haverfordwest and if you don't mind travelling a little further, enjoy half a day in the Bluestone Water Park (booking is essential), award winning Folly Farm, the Manor Wildlife Park or visit the magnificent castles of Pembroke, Carew and Manorbier in the south of the county.

Days Away

  • Take a trip around Cardigan Bay to see the resident pod of dolphins. Boats leave from Patch beach in Gwbert (1 hour drive away) or from New Quay harbour in the popular little seaside town (1 ½ hours drive away), once home to Dylan Thomas. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and 3 sandy beaches to enjoy while you are there.

There are outdoor games, a few surf boards and a 3 seater kayak available for guests to use as well as secure storage for bikes. At the front of the house is a herringbone blocked hard standing, large enough for 4 cars.
