Nicely appointed, ideal for a couple on a short break. Cosy living area and lovely double bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Lovely Welsh Cakes and a nice bottle of red to welcome us too!

Solva is a picturesque and much sought-after coastal village, popular with holidaymakers and walkers. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path winds its way up and down the coastal headlands for almost 190 miles, passing through pretty harbours, hamlets and villages, rugged cliffs and beautiful sandy coves. Many of North Pembrokeshire's glorious beaches are nearby.
Children will enjoy hours of fun crabbing off the quay, discovering rock pools and playing on the beach. A small children's playground can be found near the harbour, beside the river.
Dog-friendly beach 5 minutes walk-away, off the harbour and Gwadn cove a further 15-20 minute walk from the Harbour (quite a steep path).

Solva Woolen Mill is located in Middle Mill only 1.6 miles, 5 minutes by car. A working mill, standing beside the banks of the Solfach river for over a century. Visit the weaving shed and see weaving in progress. Mill shop showcasing woven stair runners and rugs. Cafe with freshly baked treats.
Pubs and Eateries
Solva has a great choice of pubs and eateries, serving Welsh cider and beer, pub food, live music. Closest to Alma Cottage is The Royal George, 20 yards, with three more pubs in Lower Solva, 500 yards. The Ship Inn is located on Main Street and the Harbour Inn on Solva harbour beside the car park
For a relaxed lounge bar and restaurant, try The Cambrian Inn on Main Street for the best local Welsh produce.

The award winning Blue-flag Whitesands beach popular with families and surfers is 2 miles from St Davids. Surfing lessons, surf hire, coasteering and kayaking activities abound.
Caerbwdy is a secluded pebble cove with a carpark and a pretty winding lane down to the beach.
Just a short drive away, 3 miles, is the magnificent St. David's Cathedral.
Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Information Centre, Gift Shop and Cafe, 10 yards, for advice on walks, beaches, boat trips for great places to watch wildlife, seals, puffins, porpoise and bird watching as well as nearby activities and attractions.
A good choice of pubs, cafes and shops will keep you entertained and you can also book your boat trip around Ramsey Island from here!
