Spacious, well appointed, beautiful cottage. A tad remote but peaceful and quiet.
The Granary is a lovely holiday home. It is clean, comfortable and warm. I had occasion to ring Mrs Rees who was pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful. I look forward to a return visit.
Brilliant place to stay, especially with dogs. Every home comfort and a lovely secure spacious garden. Excellent location, close to many wonderful beaches.
Cottage is a lovely space and the sitting room is a great size for 8 people, bedding was comfy and good quality, kitchen equipment is excellent. Lovely open fire and very generous log supply. Only one stand alone shower-not great if theres 5 adults, and its not clear in details that the over bath ones dont have a screen to enable use as a shower. Some decor a bit worn considering the price of the cottage. Garden also in need of tidying and weed attention-dont mind an overgrown garden and the swings are fab but it would be nice if the patio area was weeded.
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at The Granary.
Comfortable & well-equipped cottage. Beautiful area and coast path walks. Solva & Porthgain lovely places to visit and eat. Great place to recharge the batteries.
Great to be back, love this place, peace, quiet, warmth and the ability to chill & replenish the batteries. Loved all our walks on the cliffs and the local seafood. Loved the garden and the sunsets & sunrises. Many thanks for the comfy beds too!
Lucky to get a last-minute booking for the family at this lovely house. Wood burner warmed the whole house in seconds - fab & cosy. Children loved toasting marshmallows in it! Solva 'Window on Wales' is a lovely shop for a bit of early christmas shopping. MamGu in Solva has really nice welsh cakes and cream teas. Druidston beach is a favorite of ours - easier to cross the pebbles than Newgale; both dog-friendly. Reasonably lucky with the weather this week - all of us going home with a healthy glow. Great week in a beautiful cottage. Thank you.
Another enjoyable stay - we think it's our 28th year. Tips of the year - wheelchair accessible walks alongside the harbour at Solva from the car park by the Harbour In along the right hand side of the harbour looking from the car park. Also in Little Haven up past The Swan Inn (slight incline initially but levels out) to the point with wonderful panoramic views.
Despite some appalling weather we thoroughly enjoyed exploring this part of Wales. Small children loved Whitesands beach and crabbing at Solva. The Shed at Porthgain has the best ever fish & chips. Blue Water boat trip round Ramsey Island very highly recommended - ages 4-72. Pembroke Castle (on a very wet day) - do take the history tour. Also enjoyed successful mackerel fishing and eating the results!
We thought The Granary exceptionally well appointed and comfortable. Loved all the hot water and children and dog loved the garden. Everything was well thought out.
Thank you from us all for providing such a comfortable and great base for our family holiday. No one got up early enough to see the otters, we were all exhausted after our activities and slept so well.
