Woodland Retreat

We have had a great week in this lovely little cottage. Weather couldn't have been better - we have walked both locally (I loved the two footpaths that flank the cottage) and on the coast path. Add in archaeology and castles- perfect! Solva Mill and its shop is super - the cafe's very nice too! Finally St Davids,the Cathedral and especially the Bishops Palace - were every bit as good as I thought they would be! Thank you.

Highly recommend the 'caramalised bacon ice-cream' made at the Bench in St Davids by Italian Gianni for your fur babies. Jess loved it! The human ice-cream was amazing too. The Cambrian in Solva does fabulous food as does the Cwtch in St Davids and highly recommend the cafe in Newport called Vic North Cafe-Deli - great coffee and very dog friendly space outside. Worth a walk up the hill behind to Newport as well - spectacular views. We explored a lot of out of the way footpaths and found many quite inaccessible. I guess most stick to the coast path.. We have had the most lovely week and Jess looks very sad to be leaving. Thanks and we hope the next people to stay here have such brilliant weather and as lovely a time as we have. Thank you.

Lovely, clean, modern cottage. Idyllic location. Great walks,both from the front door and scenic coastal paths. Couldn't have wished for a more fantatsic week away. Superb weather& a simply amazing honeymoon. First time in the area,but we will most definitely be back. Dogs loved it too. Thank you

We spent two lovely weeks in this peaceful wood cottage. Places we loved: Newgale Beach - also perfect for our dog Bjelle. Marloes Sands:beautiful rocks, nice views to the islands. Miraculous church of NNevern with mighty ewe tree.

Superb conversion of an old building. Amazing attention to detail and finish in a holiday cottage. The gardens and wood make it special, a lovely place to come back to after being out all day walking. Places we loved: Porthgain and 'The Shed' - fascinating industrial remains of an old community and great fish & chips! Solva Woollen Mill - the shop is irresistible. Lovely people and atmosphere. Solva village is beautiful. We had great meals at The Cambrian (try the fish curry) and The Ship good value. The Druidstone Hotel near Broad Haven. When you manage to find it, this quirky place has a stunning location & excellent food. Thanks very much. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here, its small but (almost) perfectly formed. It was lovely to go and do some touristy things and go for long walks (we recommend Ramsey Island for this too) and came back home to relax in the peaceful surroundings. Unfortunately the moorhens were very elusive or maybe Bob & Jess (the previous occupants) took them home!

Our second visit to this lovely cottage. Had a lovely week - good weather too - and always wonderful wildlife here in Pembrokeshire - the foxgloves have been really special this year. Cottage is very comfortable and we love the pond's resident moorhens. Thank you for a lovely stay here.

Our second visit here. The weather has been excellent, sunshine but not humid like the rest of the the UK at present. Lovely coastal walks from Solva & Abereiddy. Beach at Newgale again excellent. We've had a great time and the dogs have loved it again.
