Had a lovely week, beautiful weather. Walked along the coast from Porthgain to Abereiddi; lovely beaches - Newgale our favourite; shells at Broadhaven. Beautiful house, perfect base for our stay. Many thanks

Amazing weather all week. Walked on Newgale, Newport & Whitesands beaches. Visited lots of small harbours and found a good pottery 1 mile from here. Also woollen mills etc. Lots of photography and painting.

What a lovely week we have had in such an interesting house. Great experience for our kids who called it their princess castle. So much space, well equipped, comfortable house, lovely log fires. Maggie was very helpful.

We loved this house! Such a warm (literally) and lovely feeling about it. St Davids and the coast are amazing - we are all converts. Whitesands is amazing & so convenient. Like others we loved The Shed & The Sloop & The Cwtch. Also Geovanis Ice-cream at The Bench on the High Street. Bishop's pub good for bar food. Boat rides with Voyages of Discovery FANTASTIC saw dolphins, caught mackerel as well. Thank you

Llysgennyd is a well-maintained, spacious and well-equipped house. It is comfortably and attractively furnished and feels light and airy. There is ample parking space and a large, private, lawned garden. The footpaths nearby lead onto interesting walks eg over the Dowrog Common etc. It's a short drive into St Davids from there or to Whitesands Bay.

A trusted customer - 8th September 2018

We found Kenneths Court a warm cottage and in a very pleasant location. Only 1 mile from St Davids. However, it required a little TLC for us. Maybe some re-decoration in most of the rooms. We found the bedrooms very comfortable but the lounge furniture was very saggy and uncomfortable. It also would benefit from a larger TV and maybe a TV and DVD in the larger lounge. The Wi-Fi doesn't work at all. So only 3 stars I'm afraid.

Property Description
Embrace the welcoming ambiance the moment you step inside this delightful, characterful house, which retains many original features, just a short drive from the Pembrokeshire coast.
  • This striking house stands on the edge of the ancient Dowrog Common (SSSI) and is just a short drive from St Davids (village) city and beautiful Whitesands Beach.
  • There are sweeping panoramic views across the Common towards the rocky outcrops of Penberi and Carn Llidi above Whitesands - the artist Graham Sutherland's favourite view (he stayed regularly at Llysgennydd)

  • The spacious sitting room is designed in the style of a medieval hall with a slate floor, splendid high beamed ceiling, large log burning stove. The elm wall panelling is decorated with carved wooden figures on a former 'minstrel's gallery' and underfloor heating ensures that it is a truly warm and restful space.
  • In the older part of the house, the 'parlour' is a cosy room with comfortable sofas, a large stone fireplace and low beamed ceiling.
  • Set on the first floor the unfettered bedrooms, furnished in traditional comfortable style, promise a good night's sleep after a day in the Pembrokeshire air.
  • On sunny days relax in the spacious garden soaking up the beauty of the surrounding area. A large lawned area, perfect for ball games, where children will love to roam and play.
  • The surrounding area is steeped in history and Welsh culture, offering lots of activities and fun days out. Do visit St. David's magnificent cathedral, stunning local beaches, surfing, boat trips, walking, cycling and picturesque coastal villages waiting to be explored.
