Truly excellent with a lovely owner who came over to meet us

A trusted customer - 27th November 2018

Excellent l equiped property with fantastic decor and location was fab. Owners welcomed us on arrival. Loved the nice touch of wine and welsh cakes and flowers on arrival. Definitely would return again

A trusted customer - 19th November 2018

The cottage was lovely all the way through and a real home from home even managed to try out the log burner. My only critism would be the master bedroom mattress was worn with dips in either side so clearly not turned on a regular basis. We ended up sleeping upside down in the bed apart from that it was perfect. Thank you very much

The propert was lovely but would benefit further from having an outside dining table and chairs. We had lovely weather, but sadly couldn’t enjoy alfresco dining.

A trusted customer - 19th June 2018

Property was clean, very well furnished, appreciated the visit from the owners to check everything was ok. Struggling to find any faults, just the microwave, which was rusty inside.

A trusted customer - 29th May 2018

A fabulous cottage, plenty of room and well thought out. The log burning stove a real treat , since it was -5 degrees outside !! Location was idea, with everything at hand, could walk to the shops and bars.

Mair Davies - 25th March 2018

  • French doors open out onto the large, enclosed sunny garden with stylish garden furniture - perfect for alfresco dining and family fun.
  • A great addition to the property is the cosy snug  - a haven for quiet time or a 'no adults zone' for busy children. A selection of dvd's and a games console have been thoughtfully provided.
  • Upstairs, the 3 restful bedrooms have been individually styled. The spacious master bedroom enjoys views of the garden, and a sleek ensuite shower room.
  • If you need to work whilst you are away – a desk sits on the light and spacious landing.
  • Should you and your party arrive in several cars, parking is a breeze. An added bonus in the middle of the ‘city'.
  • Whether it's a family summer holiday or a winter weekend getaway, Pen Bryn sits in a great St.Davids location and boasts everything you could possibly wish for your stay.
About the Area
St Davids – Britains smallest city has plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants
  • Explore this bustling village/city with it’s shops – both independent and chain - galleries, bars and restaurants. Relatively new additions are the St Davids Kitchen – for tasty food for lunch or supper; the Bug Farm is an interesting and informative venue with lovely food, both conventional and bug-based!
  • There is a country market on the Square on Thursdays between April and September.
  • Just 25 yards from Pen Bryn is Oriel y Parc - the Tourist Information Centre, art gallery and café. In this interesting modern building you can gather information about the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, useful maps and guidebooks, enjoy the art gallery with its resident exhibition of Graham Sutherland’s work and programme of visiting artists - and then take breakfast or lunch at the Centre cafe.
Ma Simes Surf Hut, St Davids
  • Cool dudes can pick up all their beach goods and book surfing lessons at Ma Simes in the High Street. Call in for surfboards, bodyboards wet suits, skateboards, leashes, wax, clothing and more.
St Davids Cathedral and the Bishops Palace
  • Discover St Davids' lovely medieval Cathedral and take the time to enjoy the history and atmosphere of this very special place.
  • Across the tiny river Alun from the Cathedral are the ruins of the Bishops' Palace with beautifully decorated stonework and halls and stairways to explore. This splendid building will inspire both young and old - children can play in the centre green space or up and down the windy stairways while they take in the atmosphere of this unique site of medieval power.
Pembrokeshire Coast Path and Coastal Buses
  • The celebrated coast path is within walking distance of Pen Bryn. It stretches off to the east and the west fringing the rugged contours with breathtaking views at every turn.
  • Dedicated coastal buses follow the coastal path calling in at every accessible cove, beach and tiny harbour along the way. The Puffin Shuttle runs between St Davids and Marloes and the Strumble Shuttle serves the route between St Davids and Fishguard. Dogs are welcome too.
St Non's Chapel and Holy Well
  • Located on a stunning coastal site with dramatic views it is believed that St Non gave birth to St Davids at this very special place. It is wonderful for a picnic stop along the coast path.
Boat Trips
  • A variety of thrilling trip boats leave from St Justinians and Whitesands Bay on the St Davids Peninsula and Martins Haven on the Marloes Peninsula to visit the internationally important bird islands of Ramsey and Skomer just off the Pembrokeshire Coast. Expect to see myriad seabirds including puffins, guillemots, gannets, manx shearwaters and more as well as seals and if you are lucky dolphins.
Lifeboat Station
  • St Davids lies at the centre of the Peninsula, surrounded by sea. The coast is rugged and scattered with rocks and since 1869 a lifeboat station has served the local and seafaring community. The current station, opened in 2016, welcomes visitors with ‘state of the art’ lifesaving facilities, a new Tamar class lifeboat and a shop.
Solva Café on the Quay, Harbour and coastal village
  • To the east of St Davids is the little harbour village of Solva - a real jewel of the west Wales coast. The sheltered harbour is an ideal place to sail, canoe or walk the beach or coast path. Both visitors and locals launch boats from the quay, go crabbing or (at high tide) enjoy jumping into the harbour water.
  • Afterwards, you can relax and find refreshments – at the Café on the Quay or at pubs and restaurants in the village – or go shopping in the individual shops and galleries along the village street.
  • Explore the tiny historic harbour village of Porthgain with an impressive industrial legacy. Browse the impressive Harbour Lights and Alun Davies galleries housed in local cottages and enjoy delicious food in the multi award winning Shed fish & chips bistro or the convivial Sloop Inn overlooking the village green.
  • There is lots to see and do in Tenby at any time of the year. Amenities in the town include banks, post office, internet cafe, supermarket, filling station, chemist, doctor, vet, interesting independent shops and a weekly market held on Wednesdays.
  • Relax without your car and stroll around the narrow streets and alleyways lined with craft shops, delicatessens, coffee houses, pubs and restaurants - delicious local foods and alfresco dining, local Breweries and hand-crafted real ale.
  • A firm favourite place to try for lunch or dinner is The Salt Cellar - an award winning coastal restaurant, bar and terrace run by a bunch of talented friends. Their motto is “Great food, Great service, Great Times! Tasty food and friendly service is at the heart of our restaurant”.
Family Fun
  • Pembrokeshire boasts a fine selection of excellent quality family attractions. Discover Dr Beynon's extraordinary Bug Farm, Hanger 5 Trampolines, West Wales Karting, Folly Farm, Bluestone Water Park, Heatherton Sports Park and Anna Ryder Richardson's Wild Welsh Zoo just to mention a few.
