Family and dog friendly cottage set in beautiful gardens on the edge of St Davids, Britain's smallest city

  • Lovely family and dog friendly home with fabulous mature gardens and captivating views from upstairs over Dowrog Common towards the north Pembrokeshire coast at Penberi, Carn Llidi and Ramsey Island.
  • Whatever the season enjoy warm cosy evenings by the log fire or lazy days in the conservatory overlooking the fabulous gardens.
  • The Shaker kitchen is made for socialising. Families or friends sharing can enjoy a glass or two whilst preparing and sharing convivial meals.
  • Rhosygilwen Cottage was once a plantsman's nursery specialising in herbaceous perennials, alpines, herbs and coastal plants. Guests are sure to love the profusion of mature shrubs and colourful blooms arranged over several sheltered and secluded 'garden rooms'.
  • The Dowrog Common is a flourishing lowland heath packed with wildflowers, birds and insects cared for by the Wildlife Trust. A fabulous place for dog walking at any time of year.
  • There is a "secret garden " accessed via a small gate to a lawned area with small pond surrounded by exotic Gunnera plants .

  • Explore the beautiful and rugged north Pembrokeshire coast on foot. Walk as far as you like and take the coastal bus back.

Porthgain

  • The historic harbour village of Porthgain is well worth a visit. Enjoy eating at the award winning Shed Fish & Chips Bistro or traditional Sloop Inn and browse the Harbour Lights and Alun Davies galleries specialising in local and Welsh art.
Traeth Llyfn Beach and Abereiddy  
  • Walk along the coast path from Porthgain to the lovely unspoiled and secluded beach of Traeth Llyfn backed by towering seacliffs.
  • Abereiddy is a safe beach for surfers and neighbours the legendary Blue Lagoon ,location for the Red Bull World Cliff Diving.Fabulous for coasteering .
