These ensure the spacious rooms are airy but also inviting and cosy. The downstairs is finished in sleek slate and the upstairs in oak - all at a constantly maintained temperature provided by the ground source heating.
The house is built of gloriously restored local stone, exposed on many internal walls, supporting the original oak beams.
A vast family kitchen with A-frame beams has a wonderful view over sleepy pastures.
The house is decorated throughout to the highest standards enhanced by an abundance of Melin Tregwynt cushions and throws. Artwork by local artists which adorns the walls has been collected over the years and really sets off this beautiful house.
The house has five bedrooms, three ensuites, a master bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. There is one luxurious bedroom with a designer ensuite shower downstairs and the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. house was beautiful plenty of room for 6 adults 3 children they loved the cows oh and 2 dogs loved where it was so quite location was perfect for beaches which the children loved would definitely return to mulberry house again
Generally comfortable, could do with some side tables in the sitting rooms , more mirrors in the bedrooms and hooks etc for hanging things on . Basic kitchen equipment. Would benefit from more cutlery and an upgrade of the crockery as quite chipped . Generous supply of logs etc . Very pleasant location but peace disrupted by the Rookery ( obviously no ones fault !!) . House would benefit from a good clean generally , lots of fluff / dog hair , dirty windows etc
The house was pretty ok it was nothing fantastic but it was comfortable. Bed was comfy! Was a bit cold I think the heating is poor and I repeat that a landline should be installed! Its very frightening when youre somewhere where you have to search for a signal on the mobile! Also as already said no instructions could be found anywhere all in all its quite expensive seeing as we had toPurchase bags of logs TO try and keep warm and no idea why we were charged £30 for our little dog who is do wonderfully well behaved! There was nothing there for her not even a drinking bowl never paid at other places.
Fantastic property, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped. Perfect for an extended family gathering especially with our 2 dogs. Owners were friendly and helpful but unobstrusive.
Hooks needed on the back of bedroom/bathroom doors to hang bath robes etc. Not enough glasses - only 6 tumblers and 6 wine glasses for a house designed to accommodate 9/10 people. Broken garden table which was a hazard with small grandchildren around, plus not pleasant to use. Dishwasher not working properly as Finish tablets were never dissolved which meant dishes not cleaned thoroughly. Revolting smelling plastic chopping board set which was unusable as smelt rancid. As did the tea towels in the kitchen so did not use. More food recycling and general recycling bags should be provided. And centre light in small reception room hangs too low and people banged their heads. Lack of instructions for using hob etc was not helpful. On the positive side well laid out house and very nice to be visited by the owner with cake! We loved the bucolic setting and privacy. TVs a big plus with the sport. Great shower power.
Reply from: Quality Cottages Team
Thank you for taking the time to write feedback, this has been passed onto the owner who plans to replace the broken garden table, the low lights in the small reception room is a design feature, therefore, we would be unable to change this - the large stool normally sits under the light for this reason. However, the issues surround the dishwasher tablets, chopping board, food recycling and tea towels have been looked into and replaced - it's a shame you did not raise this issue whilst in the property as we would have been able to resolve these immediately. But again, thank you for taking the time to write to us and you are very welcome for the cake, glad you enjoyed it.
