Guestbook Comments

If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at The Manse.

My family and I have enjoyed many wonderful holidays at The Manse. Situated in a tiny, very quiet Welsh village it is a gorgeous cosy house with a home from home feel. The kitchen is a dream to cook in and is equipped with everything you could possibly think of. It makes catering for many easy. The living spaces are spacious with seating in front of the tv for film nights and a beautiful modern dining room that comfortably accommodates 14/16 people. Although this house has great communal space it is big enough to find a comfy spot to read or restA short drive away and you are on the breathtaking Pembrokeshire coast. Whatever the weather the beaches are worth visiting, Newgale is vast and great for a stomp around on the colder days or White Sands for Boogie Boarding and hot chocolate in the cafe. Do-able walks, and favourites with all age groups, are Abereiddi, to skim stones at the Blue Lagoon and watch brave people jumping from a height into the water, to Porthgain and lunch at The Sloop. Also climbing the Gribin at Solva for the stunning views. This holiday is a favourite with all my family and they would go back tomorrow if they could

  • Langloffan Manse is 4.1 miles (11 minutes) from Abercastle (Abercastell) beach and coastal hamlet, 4.5 miles (12 minutes) from Abereiddy beach, 5.1 (13 minutes). Walk through National Trust woodland to Abermawr, wonderful wild garlic and bluebells in the springtime and Aberbach beach, popular for fishing, surfing and dogs are welcome all year round, 5.9 miles (17 minutes) to Solva (Solfach) beach and village.

  • Just 4 miles from Ty Menyn, a picturesque fishing village with two art galleries, a restaurant and real 'locals' pub.
  • The Shed Bistro, Porthgain - an award-winning restaurant famed for delicious fish and chips and service with a smile!

Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill

  • Well worth a visit, just a short drive from Newport, in Castle Morris, a working mill with excellent cafe and shop. This mill has been on this site since the 17th century when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into splendid quality Welsh wool blankets.

St Davids & The Cathedral

Priskilly Forest Golf Club is a challenging 9 hole course set in mature parkland and open all year to visitors of any ability.

  • Within walking distance of Bank Terrace are many highly recommended restaurants and cafes. Newport has been described as the gourmet capital of Pembrokeshire.
  • Recommended restaurants and cafes include:
  • Llys Meddyg - Georgian townhouse restaurant and cellar bar which serves the finest dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
  • Cafe Blas at Fronlas - really good, unpretentious food in a welcoming and cosy dog friendly cafe.

Cwm yr Eglwys is a picturesque cove a short drive away. Overlooked by the remains of St Bynach's 12th century church, the sheltered sand and shingle beach is a great family favourite.

Martins Haven and Skomer Island Boat Trips
