Welcome to Kitewell Cottage, a contemporary, light and airy, elegant cottage, within a 20 min walk from Tenby and very near Penally train station, offering everything at your fingertips for a most enjoyable stay. On bus route to Tenby, buses run every hour.

  • Step inside this tasteful cottage and soak up the warm, relaxing atmosphere. The thoughtful owners have considered everything and more, creating a stylish haven for the perfect escape.
  • Of open plan design, the spacious, well-equipped kitchen/dining area with large table invites leisurely holiday breakfasts and unhurried meals for quality family time together. 
  • Unwind in the charming sitting room or enjoy spending time in the sunny conservatory, which offers extra practical space and a place for the children to play.
  • From the conservatory, access the safe, enclosed garden, ideal for the dog and children to play. A peaceful corner, great for a sundowner under the starry skies at the end of the day. 
  • The three well-presented bedrooms, 2 doubles and a twin, are located on the first floor. The master room has an ensuite shower room. The family bathroom sits on this floor. There is also a shower room on the ground floor. 
  • Kitewell Cottage is ideal for a year-round destination with a variety of beautiful places to visit, beaches, castles and attractions just a short drive away.

Penally

  • Penally is a pretty coastal village, 2.5 miles from Tenby.
  • The village has a church and is renowned for the Celtic Cross, two pubs, a restaurant at Penally Abbey, a local shop, train station and bus service 349
  • Penally Beach Green Coast Award 2019 and Seaside Award 2019, is situated at the far end of Tenby South Beach. A sand and shingle beach, backed by dunes, protected from the wind by the headland of Giltar Point. If planning a visit, check out the tide times to make sure you've plenty of beach to play on and that you don't get cut off by the incoming tide.

Tenby & Beaches

  • Elegant colour washed Victorian & Georgian buildings, medieval town walls & castle, now a museum, narrow winding streets full of hustle-bustle, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars and 5 magnificent sandy beaches, South Beach, Castle Beach, Harbour Beach and North Beach, make Tenby a very popular town to visit.
  • Buy your tickets for Caldey Island at the kiosk on the slipway of Tenby Harbour. Enjoy the boat ride and look out for marine wildlife en route.
  • The island has been home to Cistercian monks for a thousand years. They farm the land, produce perfume, chocolate and shortbread all of which are for sale in the island's shop.
  • Stroll the beautiful countryside, relax on one of the lovely sandy beaches and do visit the Grade II listed abbey

Manobier

  • The beautiful sheltered sandy Manorbier Bay is a 10-minute walk away along a footpath to National Park coast, ideal for rock pooling, swimming and surfing (lessons available but watch out for undercurrents).
  • The village has a post office and well-stocked store, hotel, pub, restaurant and a cafe for delicious cream teas.

Pembroke Castle

  • A magnificent stronghold on the banks of the Cleddau Estuary. Privately owned, very well maintained and open to the public it makes a lovely spot for exploration and family picnics. Exciting events are held in the grounds throughout the summer season including historical reenactments, music festivals and falconry displays.

Bosherston Lily Ponds (NT), Olde Worlde Teashop & St Govans Inn

  • Stroll along this delightful trail past the scenic lily ponds and onto beautiful Broad Haven South beach.
  • Before leaving do enjoy a real old-fashioned tea with Auntie Vi MBE in Bosherston's Olde Worlde Teashop or good pub food and award-winning ales in the St Govans Inn.

Freshwater West Beach

  • The magnificent golden sands of Freshwater West with crashing surf, sand dunes and sea cliffs was the location for the filming of Harry Potter and the battle scene for Robin Hood.

Carew, Castle & Tidal Mill

  • Take a stroll around the fascinating historic village of Carew with its magnificent medieval castle, ancient Celtic cross, restored the tidal mill and family-friendly Carew Inn serving good home-cooked food and real ales.

Narberth Market Town

  • Shopaholics will love Narberth, well worth the half-hour drive. A vibrant old market town full of interesting and unusual shops, antiques, crafts, cafes, bars and restaurants.
  • Ultra Comedia is a deli specialising in Welsh & Spanish produce where you can enjoy coffee, cakes, delicious tapas too.

St Brides Bay Beaches

  • Explore St Brides Bay with its lovely sandy beaches and coves for a day out.
  • Do visit picturesque Little Haven, the broad flat sands of Broad Haven, Druidston Haven, popular with horse riders a magnificent sight, 2 miles of golden beach perfect for surfing at Newgale all connected by road and the coastal path.
  • Many beaches welcome dogs all year round, some in restricted areas during summer months.


Boat Trips to the Bird Islands

  • Trip boats leave from Martins Haven to visit the offshore bird islands of Skomer and Stockholm. You will almost certainly see seals and dolphins too. Remember your camera and binoculars.
