I don't give it 5 because we all found the narrow steps up to and from the kitchen area difficult to manage - particularly when carrying trays and other items down to the dining table. However, we don't wish to be negative because the facilities here are really fantastic.
A fantastic traditional cottage with lots of character. A great location with fantastic views from the summer house. Great walks and bike rides on the doorstep. The cottage was well stocked and a great starter pack was left and much appreciated.
Overall a nice, comfortable cottage. The access though to outside.rear garden is not possible for our dog who couldn't cope.with.the internal steps.leading to back.door.As a constructive comment though , the shower cubicles are looking a bit tired and need of updating. Also one of the shower heads you couldn't tilt down properly and two of the showers were not that powerful
Beautiful cottage and surrounding area. Right next to the coastal path with amazing views from the garden. Watched the sunset from the nearby bay, the garden and the coastal path every night as we were lucky to have fantastic weather. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious with everything you could need. Thank you, Ron, for the welcome pack of essentials. The cafe and pub in the village were great for service and food. Well definitely be back to Pembrokeshire.
Beautiful cottage. Very helpful owners who had thought of everything. Very comfortable and COVID secure. Would recommend and will be returning.
If you've ever visited a holiday cottage before, you most likely have seen a guestbook in the property for guests to leave a review for others when they arrive. Each of the following comments was lovingly left by people just like you in the guestbook left at Dedwyddfa.
Fabulous cottage, a home from home. We really got lucky with the weather, lovely coastal walks, days on the beach with the dog on Broadhaven and Newgale. Excellent food in Porthgain, The Sloop and The Shed and also steak night at the Square and Compass
Here with the family to celebrate a special birthday. The cottage was lovely and cosy. Weather was perfect and allowed us to appreciate the beautiful summer house and walks on the coast. Thank you for the warm accommodation and wonderful memories we made.Â
Great cottage, we have had a fantastic week. Many thanks, really enjoyed the summer house.Â
Fabulous cottage, a lovely family home and refurbished, decorated and supplied as such! We especially enjoyed the summer house with the lovely sea view.Â

Trefin and Aberfelin
This lovely cottage is in the village of Trefin - a sleepy backwater and perfect for a restful holiday break. Walk from the house to the pub, the Ship Inn, which welcomes families and serves meals of freshly caught and locally sourced produce.
A short walk down the lane from the village brings you to the little shingle and sand cove of Aberfelin where the ruins of Melin Trefin are tucked in above the beach.
The Coastal Path
The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (now part of the All Wales Path) runs for 168 miles from St Dogmaels in the north to Amroth in the south. Join the path at Aberfelin, the walk to the south is lovely and it is about 2.5 miles round the bay to the village of Porthgain.
To the north it runs towards Abercastle and Strumble Head. The cliffs are dramatic and the scenery captivating at all times of year - but in the spring the flowers and birds put on a truly spectacular performance! Strumble Head in the distance is dramatic and moody, changing the atmosphere as the light and clouds pass.
