Traditional Pembrokeshire stone cottage in the hilltop village of Trefin
  • In an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park this traditional Pembrokeshire stone cottage is set down a quiet lane at the edge of the small coastal village of Trefin.
  • Once home to a sea captain, the characterful cottage is the end one in a row of 3 and has been furnished throughout with loving care and great attention to detail with lots of paintings and art work.
  • The cosy sitting room has an open fire and the bedrooms are a delight with lovely bed linen and a super kingsize bed in the master bedroom - glimpses of the sea and coast from the main bedrooms, kitchen and garden.
  • There is a separate sun room with a comfy sofa and chairs overlooking the pretty cottage garden - a lovely place to relax in, get away from it all and simply while away the time!

4 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6. 1 Double with Superking Bed and ensuite bathroom. 1 Double with Kingsize bed and 1 Twin bedroom on 1st floor. 1 Bunk bedroom on ground floor.

Bathroom bath, toilet and washbasin on 1st floor.

Shower Room on ground floor with shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

Kitchen/Dining Room luxury fitted kitchen with gas hob & electric oven, larder fridge, dishwasher. Washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave in utility area. Dining table seating 6, Welsh dresser and armchair, CD/radio, I pod docking station. 

Sitting Room with 2 seater sofas, armchairs, Free view digital TV/DVD/video, fireplace with open coal fire.

Sun Room (attached to side of garage) with 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs.

'Hut' with boot rack, ideal for walking gear, beach games, lots of hangers, boogie boards for use at your own risk.

Grounds rear private sheltered cottage garden,  lawn (small uneven steps to lawn), café table and 2 chairs. Small, gravelled front garden

  • Trefin has a family friendly pub - The Ship Inn - serving locally caught fish.
  • A short walk away is the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and Aber Felin, a small, shingle and sandy cove with rock pools overlooked by the ruins of historic Melin Trefin Mill - the subject of the poem 'Melin Trefin' by Arch Druid Crwys one of the most famous poems in the Welsh language.
Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
  • This is a wonderful base from which to explore the Coastal Path - west to Porthgain, the Blue Lagoon and Abereiddi and east to Abercastle, Abermawr and Pwllderi.
  • The Coastal Path is perhaps at its most spectacular along this rocky stretch of coast - wild and wonderful in the autumn and winter gales, strewn with wild flowers and alive with bird song during the spring and summer.
